Bonbonetti becomes a European brand and looks forward to significant investments.
The last big Hungarian chocolate factory, Bonbonetti Group announced the beginning of a strategic partnership with the world’s 15th most significant confectionery company, Roshen Confectionery Corporation this spring.
After having received the regulatory approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine that was needed for the European expansion of Roshen Confectionery Corporation, Bonbonetti can officially become part of the Roshen Group.
Roshen that employs more than 10.000 people and reaches almost 1,2 billion USD turnover is one of the world’s most prominent confectionary companies with a strong market background.
The corporation produces more than 200 types of confectionery products: chocolates, candies, biscuits, wafers in 7 confectionery factories. Its total production capacity is over 400.000 tons per year.
As a sequel of this spring’s production cooperation within the strategic partnership, Roshen has already made decision about some production-related investments.
From its 1 billion HUF investment in domestic production development, the new investor expects Bonbonetti’s competitiveness to grow.
The cooperation strengthens Bonbonetti brand’s domestic position as well as its further expansion especially in Europe besides the almost 50 countries where it has already been present.
After having changed ownership structure the investor’s objective is to develop the Hungarian production base which could create new workplaces at Bonbonetti Group.
